Triple Berry Jersey Jam

Today Henry had his best friend, Jason, over to play and although they kept themselves busy for a long time in the pool & playing pirates in the woods next to the house, eventually they were standing in the kitchen saying, "We're bored! We have nothing to do...Can we play Wii?"

Well, in trying to keep to my "NO TV" rule and also trying to keep to our natural food approach, I put the boys to work by having them help make jam using fresh Jersey berries.

Blueberries, blackberries & strawberries- YUM-O!!!!

Henry & Jason (in orange) hard at work.

This is 3lbs of strawberries and 1lb combined of blueberries & blackberries.

Showing off their hard work.

After adding just a cup of unsweetened Organic apple juice and sugar free pectin, bring to a rolling boil

Getting ready for a hot "bath" for 10 minutes in a full rolling boil.

MMMMmmmmmm! 4 pints of fresh Triple Berry Jersey Jam!

For another great natural recipe from today, see my OTHER BLOG.

Debi, stop making the rest of us look bad! ;0) My aunt always tells this story of me helping her make jam when I was about 5, I kept saying, "I think that's enough sugar, sugar's bad for your teeth..."
