Way Back & Wordful Whensday ~ Will's Future

Almost a year ago, Will was fitted for a Benik's vest to help with trunk support issues and his sensory "problems".
It was back then that Will was barely able to stand without additional help and was no where near walking.
It had been our hope that giving Will support would lead to him being able to stand up straight, and finally take some steps like a big guy.
Four months after being fitted for his vest, Will was really walking and the miracles in our life finally began to become evident.
Just this week, another big move was made to help Will to really be able to get on the move and keep up with his sister a little better.
He was fitted for Sure Step ankle braces.
His physical therapist, Patti, came out with Dr Horn, to the house and they measured Will. Of course, Will was not happy one little bit about being held in place and cried quite a bit.

Emma was actually really worried about Will and kept patting his head and telling him "It's ok, Will."

So cute!
God has never seemed to amaze me where Will is concerned, so I am hopeful and excited to see what He has in store for Will now.....

Fun, fun, fun for EVERYONE!

Hi, stopped by from SITS. You were above me in the comments. I loved reading your story about your family. I come from a family of 9 and have lots of good memories of being surrounded by sisters and brothers.

those ankle braces are brilliant, I know them as AFO's, and just realised that i have no clue why lol!! anyway, they made a huge difference to deion, not for walking, but weight bearing, and also just to make sure his feet were in the right position for sitting.

the body brace looks brilliant though, deion and aaron both had the harder plastic type, and hated them, these look so much better, i'm going to show this to our physio actally, see what she thinks.

you are all doign well, the improvemnet is heartwarming,

have a great day

I hope these braces help to keep Will moving forward, literally!

It never ceases to amaze me the bond with twins. Kendyl and Kaleb do the same thing with the care and concern!!!

Poor little Will.
Sounds like you are on the right path. My Owen went through similar challenges and we found that the chiropractor also really really helped to strengthen/straighten Owen's legs and feet.

Soon enough there'll be no slowing him down! Although from the videos you have posted previously that boy can get some speed up when he wants to! What a wonderful sister he has to comfort him.
