I feel your pain. Not sure they qualified as migraines, but I've had headaches so bad I threw up. Have you tried washcloths in ice water on your forehead and neck? They have to be REALLY cold to help. If you get these often, you might need Imitrex (sp?) or some other kind of meds specifically for migraines.
Oh you poor girl - I can fully sympathize with you as I've suffered from migraines for years.
I know you've probably had lots of advice and know lots of tricks to get rid of these horrible things. But just in case you haven't heard this one I'll tell you what my doctor said to try once when he thought I would need intravenous medication to get relief from one of my migraines...
Take whatever medicine you usually take. Drink a mug of warm milk and honey. Lie in a hot/warm bath and try to relax. Get out and dry quickly and go straight to bed to sleep it off.
Apparently the honey&milk, and the warm bath help your body to relax which allows the medication to work more quickly and efficiently and helps you to sleep so your body can heal itself.
Sorry to rave on and on, but it really did work for me that time (a time I wished I was dead because the pain was so unbearable.)
I saw a doctor a few years back for migraines. He gave me a "migraine medicine", but said everytime before taking it to take 3 ibuprofin (600mg) and to only take the other pill if the ibuprofin doesn't work. It worked evertime. I would seriously try that over the tylenol with codeine!
I used to take Imitrex for mine, but I've found that Axert doesn't make me as loopy. Is it time to call your doctor and request the "big guns" meds? (Tylenol with Codeine does nothing for me, btw)

Sorry you have a migraine and you need to pack. Hope you'll be feeling better soon.
Sorry I haven't been by lately. Getting caught up in responding to comments and I don't have time to go check everyone out.
May the rest of your summer be enjoyable. God bless you.

Oh Debi, this really sucks. I hope you feel better soon girl. Here's a very tender little hug across the web - hope it didn't hurt one bit.
I'm sorry Debi! I know migraines suck. I've only had 2 and it was awful. I certainly hope you get better really soon.
